The formal title for the UN 2023 Water Conference is the ‘2023 Conference for the Midterm Comprehensive Review of Implementation of the UN Decade for Action on Water and Sanitation (2018-2028)’. It is being held in the UN Headquarters in New York from 22-24 March, and is co-hosted by Tajikistan and the Netherlands.
The conference features six plenary sessions as well as five interactive dialogues, in addition to the usual opening and closing sessions. There will be side events too, organized by participants. A summary will be provided from the UNGA President which will feed into the 2023 session of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).”
