We speak and act in partnership

The mission of the International Presentation Association is to speak and act in partnership with others for global justice. We do this from a contemplative stance, in a spirit of oneness with the whole of creation.

The three key advocacy priorities of the International Presentation Association for 2020 to 2022 are:

  • To honour and advance the rights of Women and Children, focusing on the elimination of violence against Women and Children

  • To honour and advance the rights of the Earth

  • To honour and advance the rights of Indigenous and Tribal people

We decide our actions together

The International Presentation Association is comprised of the Presentation Sisters Union, the Conference of Presentation Sisters of North America and the Presentation Society of Australia and Papua New Guinea.

We are governed by the IPA Assembly, our policy-making body, which meets every five years. The members are Congregational Leaders, Justice Contact Persons, and one additional member from each participating congregation, and from the Association of Presentations in Latin America.

We are located in 20 countries

While our roots are in Ireland, we have a presence in 20 countries around the world, from Canada to the Philippines, and from New Zealand to Chile. This gives us a unique perspective, rooted in the lived realities of the women, children and men that we serve.  It also strengthens and gives authority to our advocacy work at the United Nations.

You can find out where we work by visiting our Interactive Map. We focus on the elimination of violence against women and children.

We have an IPA NGO Representative at the United Nations, Dr Despoina Afroditi Milaki.
