Stockholm+50

June 2022 marked the 50th anniversary of the first United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) meeting, which was held in Stockholm in 1972.

There were four plenary sessions at Stockholm+50. Leaders called for bold environmental action to ensure that the world would be on target to achieve the ‘2030 Agenda’ and the Sustainable Development Goals.

There were hundreds of side events and activities in the run-up to the meeting, These enabled thousands of people across the globe to share their views and to engage in the discussions.
